At his own expense, PNP Joe Kleinpeter placed one of these coins on the grave of every U. S. Coast Guardsmen who fell on D-Day, June 6, 1944.  Joe also presented a plaque at every American Cemetery in England, France, Belgium, Tunisia, Italy, Philipines and Hawaii.  His devotion to honoring this "Greatest Generation" was exceptional and this coin commemmorates the events of the greatest invasion in world history.  This is a Limited Edition coin, honoring our WWII  U. S. Coast Guard veterans!
